Does anyone know of testing that shows what affect the surface roughness of the hull has on speeds over 100 mph?
I've heard of recent testing that indicated a smooth surface was superior, but people who race say sanded to 220 grit is the fastest surface.
I was considering coating the running surfaces with an epoxy/graphite mix. If this produced increased drag or reduced drag I would be interested in actual test results or experience.
This is concerning an air entrapment hull at speeds over 100 MPH.
