Hello, as the subject says, anyone know of a manufacturer of a surface mount (maybe screw tab) RTD package that is electrically insulated for at least 300V? If not RTD, then a thermocouple package?

Thanks

It's pretty easy to make your own: a big copper compression lug makes a great housing for a temperature sensor. Fill the socket where the cable normally goes with a thermally conductive silicone or a filled epoxy, and fit the sensor into the resin. 300V isolation will be no problem if you centre the sensor in the resin - don't use a metal loaded epoxy though! Dirt cheap and fairly robust.

Call Johnson Associates (408)-577-0200 and talk to Dave Beverely. Ask him if Minco has anything like that. Tell him Keith Cress sent you.

Describe what you need to him. I have pulled exactly what you describe out of their discard bin. Can't remember if it was TC or RTD. I have seen really strange RTDs from there.
