Style of PE stamp

I just received notice of passing the PE exam and I now need to get my seal.

Everyone in the office uses stamp and pad. However, I think I would preferr a self-inking stamp. My only concern is do they hold up to the use of a PE. Does anyone have experiance with the self-inking that might steer me away?

Congratulations on reaching such an important milestone in your career.

In Canada we are required to buy our stamps through the associations. They are never self-stamping but I would imagine that you could modify one.

A self-inking stamp is really a small inkpad self-contained with the stamp.

My experience with self-inking stamps is that they will eventually dry out and need some sort of refreshing. It depends on how much usage you expect.

I’d go with the simple stamp and pad combination. In a pinch you can take a marker pen and use that to ink the stamp.

Use APlus Stamps. They have different stamps for each state, based on each state's specifications, usually in regular stamp, self-inking, and pre-inked models.

The best is sef-inking, followed by pre-inked. The standard cheapo regular stamp requires a stamp pad for use.
