I am thinking about compiling a FAQ for structural reference library. I keep coming back to searching for recommendations on texts and end up scrolling thru multiple old posts. My thought was to compile the list into the following categories:

Analysis/Mechanics
Dynamics/Seismic
Steel
Concrete
Masonry
Wood
Foundations
Light Guage Steel
Aluminum
Miscellaneous

Based upon past threads and any recommendations you all might have right now, I will "rank" texts in those categories simply based upon the number of recommendations. It appears people can send the FAQ author a comment, so I could update the FAQ with recommended texts as it gets used.

Does anyone know if the FAQ is indeed editable after creating it? Any other thoughts or suggestions??

Well ... sure it must be feasible, it is more a matter of programming, or the FAQ tool you are using. A software matter. Normally one would create a database of infobits, giving managed access and filtered view.

Actually I meant a FAQ here on Eng-Tips, but wasn't sure if the FAQ here is editable later on.

PMR06...when you create an FAQ in Eng-Tips, you "own" it. You can edit the FAQ later if you want.
