I am trying to analyze the capacity of a thin stone panel anchorage. The anchorage consists of strap anchor with a vertical leg set into a continuous saw cut kerf. Has anyone done this calculation? The limited subject matter that I have found suggest that load testing is required. Yet, I have spoken with some stone suppliers and they say that the kerf capacity can be determined by using the average stress value from a flexure test.
I have attempted to use the flexural test value of the stone panels and have found the capacity to be extremely low.
Any insight would be appreciated...
