Stolen Computer

I recently had an Apple Mac Pro tower that was stolen from my office.
Is there anyway that I can track this computer without having to go thru
Apple?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yes it was reported to the police, yes they did the usual investigations.

Its the software installed that determines whether the hardware can be tracked- did you see this.
