Hi,

i want to know that, what type of welds are used in steel stringer ( ex: channel MC 12X 10.5) to tread pan of 1/8" thickness . filled with concrete on top of pan, supported with angle at bottom of pan.

I think the tread is bolted to the stringers, or the support angles, not thru weld.

When welded, I'd normally see an intermittent fillet weld used of a small enough diameter so as not to burn through the 1/8" plate. You may find something of use in NAAM's Stair Manual which can be had for free: Link
