I work for a Airbag coating facility. Our coating process involves coating both sides of the Airbag faric at four coating stations. At the fourth coating station, the compound accumulates at the back of the coating knife. Eventually, spits of compound forms on the coated fabric and dries when it goes through the oven. This leads to coating defects. Is anyone familiar with spitting that occurs during coating?
