Personally I'd stick with the HP3562A, but yes I know what you mean.

When I was last an engineer, the HP35670A was my fave toy. The old guys could keep their Solartrons.

We had the optional HP Instrument BASIC module on ours. So we could write our own programs to drive the analyser, download, and post-process the measurements.

We had one of those as well, but it didn't do some things as nicely. Can't remember what.
