Is trichlorethylene a good substitute for ethylene dichloride in bonding ABS?

I would have to look it up, but I expect it will be more aggressive AND more toxic.

What do the major ABS manufacturers say in their literature.

It is more volatile and therefore less open time. It is about the same ranking by osha. Mild cancer causer. It stings when you get it on sensitive skin. It works as a solvent bonder but better if you add ABS to it first to give it some body (higher viscosity).
