I'm going to try my hand at building my own Sodium/Nickel Thermal Battery packs.

Only problem I'm running into is a source for Na-??-alumina and/or it's precursors. I want it in powder or paste/slurry form so I can dictate it's final shape and sinter it myself.

Does anyone have any info on sources of Na-??-alumina (ready for final processing), or info/sources for the precursors. (?-alumina, Aluminum Oxide, Sodium Oxide)

I've found numerous sources for Aluminum Oxide of questionable grade, 1 or 2 sources for ?-alumina, but no sources for Sodium Oxide (NaO2) or Na-??-alumina.

I will incorporate as a one-man-research-company if need be but I'd rather find sources that will sell to an individual in small bulk quantities. I only need a few dozen Kilos of the final product.
