Hi all,
Some tips for measuring SO3 using FTIR would be highly appreciated.
I am using a FTIR with multi-path length gas cell (0.5-5m)and all the spectra are acquired with a resolution of 0.5 cm-1 and a spectral range of 600-4000 cm-1.I have carried out measurements for determination of concentraion of NH3 and HCN in a coal flame and trying to determine SO3 concentration now. Due to lack of stable SO3 that can be purchased in cylinders, I have been completly unable to determine the optimum spectra range.
If any one has idea on how to produce known concentration of SO3 gas that can be used for calibrating the system,it would be great. If not,optimum spectra range of SO3 will also be ok. thanks and waiting for some useful inputs.
