Snow Load on Horizontal Cylindrical Tank

I was hoping to receive suggestions on figuring out the snow load for a horizontal cylindrical tank.

I read ASCE Chapter 7 Snow Loads which, of course, deals with roofs. I was thinking of trying to apply Fig. 7-2b with an average angle of 45 deg. Tank is outdoors and unheated. Diameter is 10 ft and length is 30 ft. Pg = 60 psf.

Please check paragraph 7.4.3 Roof Slope Factor for Curved Roofs. Applying a uniform load over the entire surface may prove to be unconservative. I have drawn it out using a few select points for reference to obtain accurate loading of the structure. For a diameter of 10 ft, I doubt that you'll have a problem.

Also, if you are designing to a specific tank code, check there. The code may have specific rules regarding environmental loads.
