SNCF orders new trains - that don't fit their stations

I'm pretty sure the manufacturer of these trains provides a dimensional diagram showing it size and width.


On the bright side, (compared to the other threads that have been circulating in the "Engineering Failures" forum) nobody died. [sadeyes]
And it's always fun to see the Brits poke fun at the French.

Looks like it affects only a small fraction (1/6) of the stations, and they have plans in place to modify the stations.

I wouldn't call it a "disaster" unless they had actually tried to ram a train through ;)
 
You're right, not as bad as the French train that fell out of the station at Montparnasse
Or Gordon't bad day, for that matter.
