I'm relatively new to the Vibration world having only been trained by predict DLI in using their Expert alert software and the DCA 20-IS .. I've recently started a new job and the instrument they use here is the DI 1100 , it looks exactly like the Predict unit but i dont understand anything about it.. Can someone explain the way this unit works and the means by which the data is collected and analyzed in comparison with the the DCA-20IS?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx

Both boxs are made by DI in Scotland. DI has been bought by SKF I believe so you may want to talk to your local SKF rep ( vibration not Bearing). It's a slow instrument but works well, if SKF tries to upgrade you to the "new" box, just contact DI on the internet, they can send you a hand book on the box. FYI, IRD and CSI both sold the same box as a low cost product, so if SKF is not supportive, make a call to them for help. I also know CSI is agressivly offering trade outs for those DI boxs. See what kind of training and deal you can get if you want to go that way.
