I want to design a piping system by using RTR material based on astm D2996, designing code is ASME b31.3 and my problem is to define service design factor which is used in euation no.26b in paragraph A304.1.2.b. limitation on service design factor was described in paragraph A302.3.2.c but as it is obvious in notes below the page it is not the intent of ASME b31.3 to specify service design factor, also as it is mentioned in ASTM D2992,note below paragraph 13,ASTM won't specify or recommend service design factor. Now I want to know how I should specify this factor correctly ?
