This is somewhat of a rehash of thread559-93779. It was posted around 5 years ago so I'm mainly inquiring if anything has changed. I'm using SW2008, and we will be upgrading to 09 in a few months.
The situation:
I've got a mechanism that I'm modeling with a layout sketch. In my layout I have a few equations that perform my loading calculations based on the geometry. I would like to vary a few dimensions (one at a time) and somehow plot the results to verify my actuator selection & get an idea of the impact that small variances in my dimensions may have.
So now, the question:
Is there a way in SW2008 to vary a sketch dimension between two limits (i.e. specify upper/lower bounds & step size), and record the effects of this change on another dimension within the same sketch?
This is a "quick and dirty" job, so I'm not sure if a VB script would fit into my timeline. For now I'm going to plug away at it manually and it should be all done by day's end, but I'm putting the question out there in case I find myself in this situation again.
Thanks in advance
Mark
