Hi! A new water well will be drilled and for the constant rate test we will discharge 1500-1800 gpm for 24 hours. We have a concrete rectangle channel which leads to a 12" diam AC drain line. I have the following information:
Concrete Channel
S= 0.005
Width = 24"
Height = 32"
n = 0.012
12" AC drain
S=0.05
n = 0.011
Using Manning's Eq. Q = 37.6 cfs, R = 0.73 for concrete channel and Q = 9.5 cfs for 12" drain where R = 0.25.
I think I have all the information I need to determine if the channel and drain line can handle the capacity but I am not exactly sure how to approach it. Can someone please help me?
