Hey, I'm relatively new to this program, though I have completed the two day training coarse.
This issue did not arise during said training.
I am scanning a relatively simple piston. I have the piston on the support arm raised level with the scanner to allow for definition inside the channels. The arm is attached to the rotating base. However no matter how many times I register or change the distance, or any other change I can think of to the set up (Including making sure the upright of the stand is not in the foreground during a register process) my scans are coming in fanned out. This was not a problem when I was getting the over all dimensions of the part and merely had it on the base with the scanner pointed down towards it.
I have played with the scanner setting, using the easy scan settings and going for the more complex options. Nothing has fixed or altered the results.
I have restarted the program and the computer and the scanner. I have taken this particular scan to a new file, and I'm still getting the same results.
I have tried to align the scans after the scanning process is complete, but so far that has proved to not work, with scans overlapping the drilled holes.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. There is an image included of the scan results.
