Satellite Databases, what are the best ones and why?

I am looking for helpful informative, very detailed databases concerning satellites. I need information as far as all dimensions, apogee, perigee, and so forth. Thank you for your help.

You can check out the celestrack website on the page below

This lists most orbiting objects and will give you a description of the launch date, purpose and orbit of the spacecraft. The purpose of the database is to provide TLEs for orbiting objects, so you can find detailed orbital information (dating back to the launch), but not much on the spacecraft itself. Also, the small satellites home page will give you info on (suprise!) small satellites up to ~500 kg: dimensions, frequencies, payloads etc...
