Dear Sirs;
I got 2 questions in using SAP2000:
1, In Sap2000, can I specifically design a concrete frame as an ordinary, or nominal or ductile moment resisting frame?
and if yes how?
2, I understand that NLlink will only behave nonlinearly in non-linear time history analysis. But am I right in understanding that for a model containing NNlink:
a) the system period is computed on a pure linear basis; while
b) the time history is computed on a non-linear basis?
c) and the calculation is not consistent.
d) I mean the linear period and the non-linear period could be very different in my model containing a GAP
