i am using a sap2000 7.12 nonlinear,

i would like to know how to export the time history results

the help message says:

"Print Time History or Response Spectrum Plots or Tables

To print the Plots display do the following:

· From the Print menu, choose 'Print Graphics'.

To print the Tables (results in a numerically tabulated form, in an ASCII format,) do the following:

· From the Print menu, choose ‘Print Tables'.

To save the Tables in a File, do the following:

· From the Print menu, choose 'Save Tables as File...'. This will display the Save File As dialog box.

· In the Save File As dialog box:

· Select the drive and the directory in which the file is to reside.

· Enter a new filename or overwrite an existing file.

· Click the OK button.

Clicking anywhere else closes the floating window.

"

but when i open the .out file i get no information about accelerations, velocity and displacements

my question is:

can i include in the output file the data displayed in the 'time history traces'?
i'd need to get the a(t), NLLINK-force(t) at each step

thanks

kind regards

Yes, you can.
Follow it this way:
Display>>>Show time history traces
in " time history display definition" dialog box, define your th and display it,
in" time history functions " dialog box you will see the trace,
now choose menu File>>>print tables to file

that's it.
