Tried to continue thread where EdStainless referenced >25Mohm resistivity required in Cu coils with DI H2O.
Is it simply lesser of 2 evils; DI will corrode your Cu coils over time OR Hard tap water is TOO conductive and will produce mineral deposition in the presence of heat?
I'm at a loss; plasma system originally installed in 2017 and ran on tap water w/ DI polisher for several years to produce >25Mohm resistance.
Performance slipped so switched to straight DI @ ~17microsiemens. Little benefit to resistance (~1Mohm) ; process depends on high resistance (>4Mohm).
Have flushed with the thought that mineral deposition (Ca, etc) causing conductivity in system.
Anyone know what is going on?
