Renamed instances cannot be retrieved in old assemblies

Family tables instances (our bolts, nuts, etc.) have been renamed in Intralink CommonSpace, but old assemblies fails to open those instances. It seems like assys converted from Pro/PDM fails but not assys created/saved in Pro/Intralink. We converted our database from PDM 3.5 to INTRALINK 1.2, but is now using INTRALINK 2.0. Have anyone experienced this and is there any solution for the problem?
