Hi all,
I have just recently started working with STAAD, and through a lot of searching I can't find any examples of how reinforced concrete can be modeled in STAAD. I am currently working on two projects, one is the analysis of a reinforced concrete pier, and the other is the analysis of a concrete filled steel grid deck. I was hoping to be able to use this program to come up with a good model and reasonable results. Would STAAD be able to accurately model these kinds of structures if I entered them as some sort of 2D material? Another idea would be to actually model the rebar inside of the concrete, but I feel like this approach would be unnecessarily complex. If anyone has any experience with this sort of model and could give me a few tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Even a decent example would be enough to get me started.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
