Reducing temperature axial force

I have a floorbeam that is pinned at both ends with a temperature load applied to it. As expected, this produces a very high axial force. To reduce the force I will allow the support to move say 1/8". If I specify "enforced but" supports and a support displacement would that be accurate or is there a better way to model this type of support?

The only other way I can think of doing this, besides using the support displacement, is by using a spring in the "fixed but" support specification. I believe it would be more simple to do it the way you have done it and perhaps more accurate.

I should have said "fixed but" instead of "enforced but" since I'm not dealing w/ plates. I had thought about using a spring but wasn't quite sure how to implement that. Thank you for the help!
