I am looking for the calculations or a calculation tool for determining the required wall thickness of a 8"x4" rectangular mechanical tube that will be subjected to 43 psig operating pressure.

I am familiar with ASME rules for cylindrical shell sections, but not rectangular. I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks!

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with ASME VIII Div. 1 Appendix 13?
