Hi, I had a boring log which shows "RX" in the USCS column. Obviously RX is not an ID for soil classification so I assume that it indicates "Bedrock". Is this assumption correct? Thanks !

Assuming is not the path I would take, it's not your job to interpret someone else's errors. You can assume it's bedrock or go out and do another boring to confirm. It's your job to communicate the potential uncertainty to the client so they can make an informed decision of whether it's worth it to find out where bedrock is or if it even matters.

GeoEnvGuy, thanks for the input. Yes, the plan is to confirm that but we are in the preliminary stages of this project (I am working for the contractor and just received the design drawings yesterday) and just wanted to understand this for planning purposes. I need to talk with the contractor and recommend/discuss the geotechnical scope. Thanks again !
