Hi everybody! New member to the forum! First thread.....have a quick question. Help!

I added a blind tap to a plate and when I add a thin cut/extrude line (scribe line) down the plate and thru the tap, it seems to "break" the tap in the drawing and the hole callout won't work! I can't really think of a better way to show the scribe line and still keep the tap linked with the hole callout. Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch!

Reorder the features so the scribe line is made before the tapped hole.

... or not model it, just call it out on the dwg.

You could also just draw a line in a sketch in the model, and Show the sketch in the model & drawing view. That way the line is always with the part, not just the drawing.

AnneVan,

Exactly how did you create your scribe line and what is its relation to the tap? I just tried to recreate your problem in SW2005 SP5.0 and SW2006 SP2.0 and holecallout works just fine in my tests. Could you post a simplified version of your part (nothing that would be considered proprietary by your employer) for us to look at? See faq559-1177 for instructions on how to do this.
