Pseudo-static vs. pseudo-dynamic. Which one is the correct usage?
To me “pseudo” means not actually, but having the appearance of, i.e., pretending, mimicking. So a pseudo-static model would actually be a dynamic model that mimics a static system. Shouldn’t the appropriate term be a “pseudo-dynamic” model? A static model that mimics a dynamic system (like an earth quake).
