Hi,

I just try to do a PSD analsyis with MSC Patran (2003) for a vibration test of aerospace equipment. I already did a modal analysis for the test setup to determine the Eigenfrequencies (which was no problem)

Now I have a defined frequency/level (Grms) curve for X, Y and Z axis.
How can I define this in Patran ???

Thanks a lot !

Christian;
That depends on which solver code you are using. If you are using Nastran, you can create the PSD curves using fields "frequency dependent, non-spatial". If you are using Abaqus, you can define them directly during the step creation process under the analysis menu.
Cheers.
