This may be a dumb question, but why are there so little structural profiles residing the in weldment profile folders? Do I need to load more? For example, there are only three square tube profiles. I can probably bring them in from the toolbox but this is not how I want to build my model. I need to use profiles and stay away from an assembly with individual components.

Recommended for you

Go to Design Library > SolidWorks Content > Weldments and Ctrl+click on the icons to download the full selection of profiles.

Thank you so much, but its too bad that they are not categorized by folder. Now I have all of these profile files in a zip file and I have to sort them all out to the appropriate weldment profile folder.

When you unzip the file, the sub-folders should be automagically created ... if I remember correctly.

CBL,
Sorry, can you explain again where that download is - the SW Content has me confused.

Thanks,

Was that something new for 2007? I don't see that in SW2006
