I just reviewed my PL Insurance policy and it is specific to the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. If I was to get a consulting or training job in Europe (for example), my policy would not be in force. Does anyone know of a way to stay covered for a two-week assignment outside the coverage area of your policy without purchasing a new year-long policy for the country you're working in?
I started with my insurance agent and he spent the day on the phone with a list of brokers and came up dry. His only recommendation was to contact a broker in the country I'd be going to and try to get "Event" insurance there. What do other folks that do work outside their home country do?
