Proe locks up when printing for 1 min whilst spooling

Proe locks up when printing for 1 min whilst spooling when a print is sent to the HP A3 printer. Send a print to the HP plotter- no problem.
why is proe locking up and what can i try to free it- if the spooling takes 1 min then i'll wait for the print- at least if proe free's up i can carry on drawing.
