Problem with 2 Linked Hydraulic Valves - New To Hydraulics

I have have a single 5 horse hydraulic power unit I would like to run two pieces of a steel roll forming line with. In the past this hydraulic unit was used for running a single motor to drive the product through the line. I would like to also use this hydraulic unit to power two conveyors.

There is currently a hydraulic valve setup with two directional valves on it. I would like to add another valve setup with two directional valves on it.

I tried doing this by putting a “T Splitter” on the two hydraulic lines going going to the original valve and routing them to my new valve. One or the other set of valves would work.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I suspect that at least one of your manifolds has "open center" valves, which do not parallel in an obvious way.

Unless you have a closed center system you will need to use a flow divider or have a valve with power beyond capabilities and feed it first. The power beyond valve must have a tank line hooked up.

Really need more information. Is the power unit pump fixed or variable displacement? What are you going to drive? Motors? Only in one direction? Run both at the same time?

If the pump is fixed displacement, you will need a flow splitter. Gear would be my choice. 50/50 splitter will deliver half flow to each output. One simple on/off directional valve for each motor.
