Hi everyone

I am working in a foundry in a tropical country. getting close to summer we have problems with our quench pools. there are 3 pools with 150 m3 volume. after three or four quenching, water temperature is getting warm and we should wait for 24 h to get temperature back to normal. We also have a pool cooler which circulate all the water every 3 hours and make 7 degree decrease. but it is not enough for summer temp around 45 deg C or more and take a lot of time.
So is there any reasonable way to make the water cool faster? or make a delay to get warm? something like changing of Cp?
Do you think using Brine get any help around this problem?
I am really welcome to any idea.

Summer time in hot places, is a challenge for foundries. How are you cooling the water in your induction furnace? Are you not facing " High Temperature" fault, while melting?

Adopt similar cooling techniques for your quenching tank. Alternately, increase volume of water .

Happy quenching!!
