Printing problem

Structural

We have an issue that has cropped up with some of our new printers. When the engineers print to their desktop printers (Dell 1720 laserjets) the text comes out fine, but the graphics are too light to photocopy. Latest drivers, etc. Any one have a simple solution other than not buying a Dell printer?

Have tried all the printer resolution, toner darkness, etc, all to no success.
