Has anybody here written up inspectable printing instructions for parts with artwork?

I have written up instructions for applying artwork to parts using SolidWorks. I am now wrapping my head around mass production. On my drawings, I do not care if they silkscreen, pad print or digitally print. I want to call up quality. On a given part, I think I am concerned about...

[li]opacity[/li]
[li]feathering of edges[/li]
[li]toughness[/li]

Has anyone written out specifications or inspected artwork like this?

Yes. Most Design Engineers put the color or other technical data in the notes of the drawing and the using a triangle around the note number. Then the art work location is specified by dimensions on the drawing with the note number (with a triangle around it) pointing to the location. Hope this helps
