Greetings to the readers.

While conducting the pressuremeter test, the probe used to blast during the test. When i plot the corrected curve from raw data i got points up to mostly in the end of elastic zone or in some cases in between the strain softening zone only.
As the test doesn't crossed the softening zone and reached to the plastic zone, Can this test data will be useful for finding Limit Pressure and Moduli. my main aim is to arrive at shear strength parameters.

So, if any reference and methodology available Please mention below.

Thank you in advance.

If possible, it may be worth providing the data, at least as an image, to better illustrate what issue you are having.

I think the test is fine to determine the stiffness (the linear portion of the curve). It doesn't look like it has peaked though.

But it will be difficult to find Limit pressure So as shear strength parameters and horizontal earth pressure.
And some cases the probe got burst in the linear zone only. So are those test data could be used to derive the engineering parameters of soil.

There are many relationships between stiffness and strength parameters. However, usually you have the strength and want to find the stiffness, whereas you're looking to work backwards and find strength from stiffness.

As ever, if you have inadequate data, you'll need to caveat your recommendations and take a conservative approach.

Thank you LRJ sir.

You are right. I will search about this co-relations.
