Consider having a power system with generating capacity of about 1000MW and peak load of about 700 MW. COnsider it interlinked into a bigger system with. Power system studies identified the limit of power transfer (import/export) to be about 100MW. If there is a plan to install additional generator of about 130MW in the system, what will be its effect on the power transfer limitation. It can be assume that the interlinking transmission line has a capacity of about 1200MVA and the interlinked transformer has a capacity of about 1000MVA.
In another case, what could be the effect of installation of another interlinked line from the small system to another bigger system, which is also interlinked to the first big system but maybe two buses away from the interlinked between the small system. COuld this improve the power transfer ability of the small system?
