I have a consumer product using 8623 Polypropylene. Its shape can best be described as a short and open-ended cylinder with an oblong cross-section. It has a small section to attach it to a tube. It is obviously not dimensionally stable. What material spec changes would you recommend that are cost effective. Flexing is not a performance requirement, but is important in preventing impact breakage (a few pounds of force). Here is a rough idea of its shape:

x x Verticle x-section. depth
x x is about 1.5 inches.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

It was unclear what your goal is in changing the material spec. If it is to improve dimensional stability, perhaps glass filled or talc filled polypropylene would be enough of a change. Any chemical contact concerns?
