PLC To Trigger Cells in Excel

Hi All,

I got and application where i am using a slc500 series controller with microsoft exel. What i am looking to do is trigger cells in excel from plc and change the colors and text in the cells (example: high temp (cell color red), temp normal (cell color green).

Also create a push button in excel to reset bits in my plc. I know that a DDE link can be used through rs linx and push buttons can be made from macros but what kind of code is needed to be inputed into the cells to trigger the text and colors.
