Hi guys,
I am analyzing a dual reinforced concrete shear wall/ moment frame system in sap2000 using a nonlinear static procedure. I assigned a shear wall as a column and offset the ends to stiffen the beams. I assigned hinges to my beams and columns by defining a moment-curvature (according to FEMA) diagram and a interaction diagram (ACI 318-99 given in SAP2000). Now my problem is that when I try to assign the interaction diagram for the shear wall (ACI 318-99) I get an Error that hinge property cannot be assigned to the shear wall. I believe it is error 17. How can I assign an interaction diagram for the shear wall. If anyone has done a hinge for a shear wall, your input would be greatly appreciated because I am not sure if my moment curvature is accurate.
