Hi all. I am trying to develop a PID loop in a Siemens S7-216 PLC using an unipolar analog input for the setpoint and another for the process variable. In order to do this, the "Help" instructions tell me I need to convert each input from a 16-bit Word to a Real value. The problem is I can't seem to get this step accomplished. The example in the "Help" file doesn't seem to work (primarily because it is written for a higher-powered processor with additional functions). Does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks

The tech support guys in Johnson City have some better examples of this process that they can email you or send you to in the manual.

You can get the tech support number off of their website or the S7 manual.
