PC based control

I have a process where we want to control two valves that govern the axis of a machine(2 directions each valve). They use 0-10V for control and we want to use Visual Basic to write the program. We need feedback from the valves to have the program decide how to move the other axis. Any recommendations as to the hardware/software to use on the PC would be appreciated.

Suggest use the parallel port under DOS.
I don't know VB dos't do WINDOWS but the job under
any other ( GW-TURBO-POWER-QUICK- etc) BASIC would
be ducksoup.

If you need 0 to 10V analog, use DAC or digital pot,
if digital ( __---__) 0 to 10V then use open collector
(7406,07 or discrete BJT or FET ) switcher stage.
