Patran laminate modeller - multi-layup files

I have a problem with Patran 2001r2a and laminate modeller. I am making layup files within LM but they are not being saved. I only noticed after making 10 or so files. The Plys are defined in Groups and l have plybooks generated so can re-create the layups OK, but l thought Patran/LM could save more than one LM_layup file at a time.
Any ideas?
