Hi all.
I have a problem where i have to find the best hight to put a partition so that i can reduce the air flow caused by natural convection inbetween two surfaces
It has something to do with the Rayleigh number , like i need to make it as small as possible. Also there is still heat transfered with conduction.
For example when the partition goes up the upper section has a smaller Rayleigh number but heat with conduction is transfered easier whereas the down section haw a higher Rayleigh number but heat with conduction is transfered more difficult because of the longer distance.
Any ideas woyld be really usefull
