We have a very big sticking problem in one of our application.

The application details are as follows :
We use mixers & spindles to feed the Na2CO3 . H2O dust. An e-motor drives the shafts of this feeding system. The mixer blades & the conveying spindle mounted on the same shafts. Some of them have Inconel 600 alloy as shaft & mixer blades & the conveying spindle material. Since the Inconel 600 parts have acceptable corrosion resistance, we would like to continue in using this material for the application but the main problem is the stickity of the dust to the blades in this case ! The above explained dust sticks to the blades immediately & stops the shaft & e-motor. Our only solution is cleaning the mixer system by weekly.

Please advise us an additive immediately !!

Thanks.

Polishing the feeder surfaces may also helps to solve the problem. But I guess the sticky caracter of the dust arises from an elevated temperature in the mixer. Check the temperature of the dust and cool it if required.

Thanks Stefano.
The dust is heated by the steam which is at 270 oC. This is required for the reactions after the mixer. So, it is not possible to reduce down the temperature.
We need another solution !
