Anyone have access to the 9th Canadian Rock Mechanics Conference 1973? Paper by Osterberg and Gill, "Load Transfer Mechanisms for Piers Socketed into Rock", pp 235-262. Tomlinson in his foundation book uses a figure derived from the paper but I think that he transposed the ordinate title - or used shaft instead of base in the ordinate title.
