Hi guys, didn't know if anyone could help, I am trying to get NX to use more cores when using thermal / flow (and any others), my PC is a dual quad core xeon. This seems to have been covered a lot on here, and following all recommendations with still no luck...

A few things
UGII_SMP_ENABLE=1 is done (unsure if it has an effect here?)
In the parallel configuration tool inside thermal/flow
- Thermal Solver Parallel = Yes
- Thermal Solver Parallel DMP = Yes
- Flow Solver Parallel = Yes
- Flow Solver Parallel DMP = Yes
It sees there are 8 processors, I've let it use all 8 too
Run solution in parallel checked
Hyperthreading is OFF also
Ive set the config file in customer defaults and restarted

I have checked the CPU usage with other software besides resource monitor and guarantee it is only using one core out of eight. I'm hoping there is something very simple I have missed? Any ideas?

Have you got a license for parallel processing, i.e Advanced Flow or DMP ?
